Chips Away!
Someone's just put a flyer through the door entitled "Chips Away". I was genuinely disappointed to discover upon closer inspection that it was advertising a car bodywork firm, and not a fish n chip delivery service. I need to get a life...

In other news, today's canteen menu special was "Baguette filled with hot meat." Is it just me that thinks that's worryingly unspecific? *g*

Your post reminds me of two things: 1. there actually IS a fish and chip delivery service near my Mum's house, and one year they sent leaflets round offering deliveries 'right through the Christmas period including Christmas Day evening'. Who has room for fish and chips on Christmas day evening? (says she who's normally polished off a turkey sandwich, three sausages rolls, some Twiglets and half a tub of Terry's Segsations by the end of Wallace and Gromit) and 2. when I worked in the district council offices, the lady on reception used to email round the 'daily special' from the canteen, and one morning she informed us that there was a breakfast special of 'Coffee and a Quasson' for £1.50...

OMG now I so want a Quasson. It's a small deep fried bird from New Zealand...right...?

There is actually a takeaway in town that will deliver you food from *any of the other takeaways* for a small fee, LOL.
