"After all my efforts to restore peace to our tempestuous relationship"

Bad things:
- Appear to be developing cold. Bah. *sneezes miserably*
- Four days left to self-imposed deadline and still no closer to actually plucking up courage. Refusal of it to lose temper in face of severe provocation is not assisting matters. /cryptic

Good things:
- Wine, pringles, dip.
- Unexpected!Ben Shephard on BGMT. Albeit for about ten seconds. Still, it's making me want to write something, which is more than I've been able to for about a month so this is still a good thing. Although as what I will likely write is Piers/Stephen some of you may wish to class this under bad things *sniggers*
- Piers' new book, which I sat down yesterday afternoon to read a couple of pages of, then looked up to discover it was evening and I'd read half of it. The post title incidentally, is him talking about Jeremy...

I am a screen-capping God!

Probably no-one will care but me, but here, have some Ben Shephard screencaps from "Would I Lie To You" last week...

"But you're feral"

Just got round to listening to the James/Richard interview on the Chris Moyles show from a couple of weeks ago. Very entertaining - and made me laugh the way they danced around to avoid mentioning James' girlfriend by name, LOL.

Also -
"How many women do you think you go through a series?"
"Why are you asking James?"
*g*

In other news - is that a Ben Shephard I see in my Radio Times? Actually I caught a trailer for this last night, and was faintly appalled by his outfit - looks like a reject from an American movie set in a 50's diner. But still, he was hugging a random bloke, so that made up for it. Oh Ben, Ben, Ben, why can't you be on a programme that I remotely want to watch? Who Dares Sings looks mind-bogglingly awful.

ETA: Okay, so his outfit's better than the one on the trailer. Someone remind me again why I'm actually watching this?

(no subject)

Stephen Mulhern/Ben Shephard.

I may just have found a new OTP.

I don't even fancy Stephen. But, just, ngh.

Public Service Announcement

Do not feed those sticky sheet receipts you get from places like Amazon through small domestic shredders, as they will eventually gum it up, other papers will stick to the workings, and the motor will burn out, leaving it F.U.K.T.

This r trufax.

Also, do not rub corner of eye after chopping chilli no matter how damn itchy it is. (Not so much a public service announcement that one, as an admission of stupidity. Also, ow.)

So, X Factor back tonight. After smugly avoiding all such of its ilk, I got sucked fatally into the last series. Although, no Ben Shephard, alas and alack. Now I'll probably never get round to writing that Simon/Ben fic I always intended to...

X Factor Musings

Ben Mills in the bottom two!! Nononononono that's not right. Thank you Simon, and thank you for proving Mr.Suzie wrong ("he'll keep Eton Road, they're less of a threat"). I had faith...

Ray gets creepier every week.

Leona - still so fantastic, but still so not my sort of thing.

Eton Road - I thought they were improving, but they seem to be getting worse again. Buh-bye now.

MacDonald Brothers - wow, look at 'em go this week! Although I suspect they're not so much as a one trick pony as a one song pony. And I've STILL got the bloody song stuck in my head. Anybody else think the next X In The City should be the Mick Macks doing a take off of Supernatural? No? Just me then...

Xtra-Factor afterthought - would it be wrong to text the ticker and ask to be the filling in a Ben Mills-Ben Shephard sandwich? Probably...
